Update on my professional activities, and more!
Graduate of OSU in dance and technology, minor in film and video... 2005. Started the pick-up company... The Contemporary Dance Core (TCDC) in 2006. I've been living in New York for nearly two years. Last May I premiered the evening-length piece Sunshine & Dirt at the Joyce SoHo... a great moment, I hope to show that piece again. In July I received the danceWEB scholarship and traveled to Vienna for ImpulzTanz International Dance Fesival.

In August I come back to the city and then... endless dance showing and concert application flow and the heated search for a daytime job that contributes to my choreographic lifestyle.

And, in the fall-- rehearsals, I like rehearsals, lots of rehearsals, time in the studio, and--- repetition, I like repetition, to see it more and more and more. Showed my newest piece ID in October at Judson and again in March 2008. The 45 minute solo was produced by the 92nd St Y and shown in their Sundays at Three series. So "About Me" becomes about what I'm doing... I think it always does... to write "About Me" is just way too personal.

Thanks Marlon, this is cool.

Thanks for all of the pointers. I'm starting classes in a couple of weeks - the 19th - and I've been debating on how much involvement I should take on my first quarter here. I've had no idea what the time committments of the program would be, and I've been leaning toward the side of not making any big moves until I get a taste for the demands of the program - BUT, your advice is a nice kick in the ass to just go get em. It's encouraging to hear that coming from you! I've been working intensely on some websites this summer, so I'm high and dry for really intense inspiration. But I've got a few ideas cooking up on the back burner. So, I was wondering if you'd like to join a network I made called inTELL.agents. It's an online exhibit of archived discourse on the conventions by which choreography is made, taught, and evaluated. It's a private group, so you have to request an invite on the main page, but you would be wonderful asset. I've been thinking about Triage a lot. Your use of motifs is so interesting - the placement is often within a high point of tension, and I love how some motifs come to embody a central idea or sometimes feeling. I don't want to get into that without your permission though. I know how that is (sometimes i'm just not in the head space for feedback). Okay Ashley, thanks for replying, and feel free to check out our website at http://intellagentography.ning.com

Hi Ashley! I'm new at OSU and it just so happens that my best friend lives next door to Bob Loss! He let me watch Triage Part 1, and I just knew that I had to talk to you. Your work is great! How is New York?
