About Me...I graduated from OSU in 1997 with my MFA in Choreography. From there I joined the OSU Family as a faculty member for 10 years. Last spring I made a radical change in my life and accepted at position at Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
I'm probably the biggest techno-geezer on here so forgive my lack of photos and such. However, I'd love to hear from anyone and everyone and am delighted to be a part of our embodied and virtual community

Nicole! I miss you so much as I told Balinda and Robbie of how influencial they were in my current success but you have to go down in my biggest long lasting influence in the quality of how I move. I still talk to my students about you as my professor and you movement style. I even teach my Introduction to Choreography course the way we did COMP studies trying to get them to even process(the weight qualities which resiliency was my ultimate favorite and doing all the choreoraphic devices. I saved alot of my class notes from you.) Yes I listened and took notes! I love ya Nicole and will talk soon!
Thankyou!
Hello Nicole, great to read your profile and know that you're now at Wesleyan sharing your dance skills and inspiration. I just recently heard from Robbie and she sent me a photo of Polly. I've also connected with Sara Wookey here in L.A., so there's a small OSU presence here in southern California. If and when you should come to L.A. please let me know. Continued success in all of your endeavors, and wishing you a glorious summer, what's left of it! Cheryl
Hey Nicole, I emailed you a week ago at your new university and it didn't go throughm so I am contacting you through this new website. I am sorry it has taken me so long to respond but my father had a life and death emergency the third week in March and I am glad to say that he pulled through, but still recovering. He is doing well but he has to be monitored. Let's talk about ADF and DPW. I would love for you to come. Ursula
Hey Nicole - I might have your number somewheres but having changed phones so many times and stuff I don't seem to have your phone number handy. Mine is 202.487.0097 - Give me a call.

The gig at OSU went really well. Thank you for asking. I had wonderful, inspiring students to work with in my class on theories of embodiment, and of course teaching notation is always good fun. Now, I'm technically unemployed until August when I head back to VA to teach a course in Aesthetics at George Mason University. After December, no fixed plans, but with luck and some amount of effort on my part I hope I'll be able to fix up another interesting teaching job somewhere. Maybe I can shamelessly send you my resume? ;-)
I'm trying to get my head around my dissertation work right now. Today is not a good day though - I feel a little 'stuck' but that's how it goes sometimes, I guess.
I hope that you are enjoying your new job, and that the transition to your new life there went smoothly.
Best,
V
Rope her back in amongst us-- I'll do what I can to convince miss robbie and lil miss polly to take the job.
Alexandra Beller gives a nice class- I'm thinking of bringing her to Kenyon. Former Bill T. JOnes - plus sized dancer who can also speak about body image/expectations etc to women's studies dept. Also choreographs.
