hey peter,
sorry, i have been out of touch. yes, i had hip surgery a month ago and have been taking some time off. I am going to try to come over and say hello at bates this summer. I am actually off to europe for a bit (now that I can walk) but will be in touch when i return. If you need a break from bates you are welcome to come and visit. I'm not too far away!

I was thinking about our trip next weekend...do you think it would make more sense to sleep in Carlisle, then leave at like 7 am to get there for the show at 2? It might leave us fresher than driving through the night...
