OSU Alumni Touring Project

Hello Fellow Alums,
I am interested in knowing whether any of you are interested in creating an OSU Alumni touring cooperation. What I am thinking is this: Many of us are Professors in college dance programs spread all around the country and might host performances for other alumni. It would create performance opportunities for work in various regional centers, be useful in the tenure and promotion process and formalize what already happens ad hoc. At San Diego State we are looking to host work-there isn't much money around (as you all know) but we can offer a performance venue. Is anyone interested in this?

If only I hadn't quit my J.O.B. at UO I could offer the same back as a host! However, I'm only part-time at OSU at the present time......

BUT! I would love to present at any of your places AND would be up for hosting a concert with professor-type guests here in Columbus!

Keep this idea brewing Joe et al! It's fantastic and would really tap into our wide-spread influence across the country/world.

I agree this is a great idea. I'm at Wesleyan now and we are actually trying to do something similar. It's not OSU centered, but I'd love to talk with everyone about this. I'd be thrilled to visit San Diego and can think about hosting someone here in 09-10. Let's talk!
